Biodun Stephen set to release her movie ‘Strangers’ based on true events
Gold for directing at the International Independent Film Awards recently went to the feature-length film.
After the theatrical release of her previous film, ‘A Simple Lie,’ Biodun Stephen will screen her new film, ‘Strangers,’ shortly thereafter.

As told in first-person narrative, the story depicts the life of an isolated village boy whose life takes an unexpected turn when he is struck by calamitous events.

It features Lateef Adedimeji (Bimbo Oshin), Ndamo Damarise (Chris Iheuwa), Bimbo Akintola (Bimbo Akintola), Mide Glover (Mide Glover), and Nonso Odogwu (Nonso Odogwu).
According to the film’s executive producer, Banju Adesanmi, inspiration for the film came from the tenacity of the real-life characters he worked with.
“Strangers chronicles series of despairing events with miraculous outcomes. It is a story that is sweet to hear, I decided to adapt it into a screenplay and joined forces with notable figures that can translate it into a captivating motion picture. The international recognition for the movie is a testament to this.
The movie will premiere in cinemas on April 29.
