Burna Boy & Ckay were not fully respected in Nigeria until they bag International Award – Oxlade
Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, also known as Oxlade, a Nigerian musician and songwriter, has stated that Grammy Award winner Burna Boy and Emo Afrobeats Superstar Ckay were not given the respect they deserved in Nigeria until they became international sensations.

Tim Westwood, a British DJ and radio host, made the claim in an interview. Oxlade was responding to a question concerning the music industry in Nigeria that Tim Westwood had asked. According to Tim Westwood, if you’re successful in Lagos, you’re more likely to be successful anywhere.
