Davido, Burna Boy, others feature on Forbes Africa’s top 20 musicians list

Forbes has placed South African, Tanzanian, Congolese, and Republic of Benin artists among the top 20 musicians in Africa, joining Nigeria’s Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.

According to Forbes, the group was included on the list alongside four other Nigerian musicians.

The business publication remarked that African music is receiving well-deserved international acclaim.

“It is clear that African music is getting the recognition it deserves and the continent’s distinctive sounds are taking the world by storm, this includes Amapiano, Afropop, Afrobeat, Gengetone and more.”

Other Nigerian singers included in the list are Tiwa Savage, Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, Mr Eazi and KDDO.
