Don Jazzy cautions Mavin fans not to trash other musicians.
Don Jazzy, a music businessman in Nigeria, has warned fans of singers registered to his record company, Mavin, to avoid fan squabbles in the music industry.
In a late-Wednesday tweet, the CEO of Mavin Records expressed his anger with music fans who denigrate other artists in order to support performers connected to his label.

“If your only way to support Mavin is by hating on or downplaying a colleague’s hustle and success, then please keep your support to yourself,” he tweeted.
“I know some of you derive pleasure from that sh*t, but that’s not the Mavin way. We will manage our little fan base that is genuinely happy for others.”
Reacting to the tweet @DMLightttt asked the music producer, “So we should watch them spit thrash on our Rema without showing them who’s the boss?”

Don Jazzy replied saying, “Who made you boss? To what end? Your banter is not good for anybody. We make music for y’all to listen and enjoy. That’s only what makes us happy. Nothing else. Thanks.”
He also addressed the question of him not speaking up about the comparison of Rema to senior artists and he stated;
I did interviews addressing it sir. And my team internally knows not to participate in such unprogressive manner. Hoping that one day the fans will learn from our body language and stop. But it seems to be getting worst by the day.
Don Jazzy was firm that an artist’s work should not be ridiculed but rather enjoyed.
