Management officials of Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC) sitting on the floor
Power can really make people drunk. This is the very case of the newly elected Tor Tiv, Orchivirigh Prof. James Ayatse who was heavily criticized following emergence of photos showing the Management officials of Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC) sitting on the floor after paying him a solidarity visit at his residence.
The top BIPC management led by the Company’s Managing Director, Mr. Jack Mulya and the delegates all sat on the floor while the seats were empty. The team congratulated and pledged their loyalty to the Paramount ruler of the Tiv nation.
However, social media users frowned at the traditional ruler, and condemned him for allowing the delegates to sit on the floor while the chairs were vacant. Many wondered what he would do if he was given authority to rule the country as he would see other humans as very less inferior to him.
Many said the ‘humiliation’ was totally uncalled for. The officials were also lambasted for having no self worth and agreeing to sit on the floor while feigning that they did so out of respect.
"They will go Nakked for you when you become President o" someone commented in response to the pictures.
"Humans, always power drunk and trying to make others feel inferior." another commenter said.
