Married Prospective Female Corps Members are to report to their Husbands’ State of Residence

Wives who choose to join the National Youth Service Corps must report to the orientation camps in the state of their husbands’ residence, regardless of where their call-up letters say they should go.

Additionally, they were instructed by the organization to bring their marriage certificates, as well as proof of a change of name in a national newspaper and other legally binding documents, to camp.

According to a press release from NYSC Deputy Director (Press and Public Relations), Emeka Mgbemena, NYSC Director-General Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim gave the command in a nationwide virtual address to the 2022 Batch “A” Stream. When it comes to marriage or health-related certificates, General Ibrahim cautioned that anyone discovered presenting phony documents in camp would be turned over to law enforcement for punishment.

Prospective corps members were told by NYSC’s director-general to closely adhere to their swearing-in oath, saying that it would be binding on them both during and after the year of service.

Ibrahim issued a stern warning to the group, telling them that anyone found in violation of the camp’s rules would be expelled.
All non-pharmaceutical COVID-19 safety precautions at the camp should be taken into consideration by the PCMs.

According to him, getting vaccinated against COVID-19 through booster shots will help keep individuals and others safe from the virus.

His advice to future corps members included participating in the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development program, which he described as a path to self-sufficiency because it includes both on-site training as well as instruction provided after they leave camp.
