It was granted to Savage because of the success of her singing career, and she is now on a U.S. tour in appreciation of that achievement.

Despite being unable to attend the award event in person, Savage sent a video message of gratitude to the award’s organizers.

Savage devoted her acceptance speech to the many women making a difference in Nigeria and across Africa.

In addition to Savage, the prize was given to several other accomplished women in their respective industries.

The award ceremony’s seventh iteration was graced by the presence of actress Yvonne Jegede.

A number of Channels’ staff members, including Dr. Shola Mos Shogbamimu, Honey Ajuwon, Lara Oyesanya, Professor Carol Makaka and Dr. Gillian Lakaereber, were also in attendance, as well as Adeola Onasanya, Feyisola Adeyemi, and Juliana Olayinka.

In an interview with the press, Sam and Tola Onigbanjo, the creators of Women4Africa, stressed the importance of Africans and women celebrating and telling their own stories.

A total of 18 women from the arts, technology, and healthcare industries were honored and praised for their tireless efforts to keep African flags flying.

Mrs. Aisha Buhari, Ambassador Nimi Akinkugbe, Dr Joe Okei Odumakin, Senator Daisy Danjuma, and Honorable Abike Dabiri-Erewa are among the past recipients of the Women4Africa Award.
