Recall, To coincide with the release of his brand-new single in July 2022, M.I announced the rebranding of himself as The Guy, changing his stage name from MI

Fans will always refer to M.I as “MI” and will never accept his new name, “The Guy,” Vector wrote in his application.

During a live television interview, Vector stated this when asked about his thoughts.

He said:

“I wish him good luck with the transition from the old name to the new one but I think it will really not work. We will accept it but they will call him MI regardless.”

When questioned about the possibility of altering his name in the future, Vector said:

“if anything, I was going to go back to Lanre but too many people know me as Vector so it’ hard.”
